FAQ's
How do I enroll in the RoadKing Club program?
You can sign up to become a RoadKing Club member by one of four ways. (1). Visit tatravelcenters.com to sign up on the web. (2.) Enroll at a RoadMile Marker Kiosk at any TA location and get a temporary card on the spot. (3.) Call 1-866-RKC-CLUB (1-866-752-2582) Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time. (4.) Enroll at the truck service shop at a TA location and get a temporary card on the spot. When signing up, you should use the exact name that is printed on your driver's license. It will take approximately two weeks for your actual RoadKing Club card to arrive. If you don't have it by then, you should call customer service to check on the status.

Why do I have to enter personal information in order to become a member?
RoadKing Club Cards are mailed to the member's address. Shower coupons and redemption certificates will have your name. Additionally, this information is the only way we have of notifying winners in our sweepstakes drawings.

How many RoadKing Club cards can I have?
Members are allowed to have one card. Please do not sign up for more than one card. Anyone wishing to earn or redeem RoadMiles or be entitled to any of the other benefits must have a card in his or her name. This applies to team drivers as well. This is for your protection.

How do I earn RoadMiles (points) in the program?
RoadKing Club members earn TA RoadMiles (points) on qualifying purchases made at participating TA locations. One TA RoadMile is equivalent to one cent ($.01). Currently, RoadMiles are awarded on diesel fuel, food purchased at our sit-down and fast food restaurants, and service work and other purchases made in our truck service shops. Members earn one RoadMile for every gallon of diesel fuel purchased; one RoadMile for every dollar spent in a TA Sit-down Restaurant or Fast Food Restaurant; and one RoadMile for every dollar spent in TA truck service shops. The exception in the truck service shops is that new tires purchased on national tire account will be awarded 200 points per tire. TA RoadMiles will not be issued for beer, alcohol, gratuities, gift certificates, Freightliner or Delco warranty repair work, discounts, or sales tax on valid items purchased. RoadMiles are added to the account when your RoadKing Club card is swiped.

How do I find out how many RoadMiles I have available?
Members can find their RoadMile balance by using the RoadMile Marker kiosk (member's page) or by going online at www.tatravelcenters.com (RoadKing Club section). You can also call customer service at 1-866-RKC-CLUB.

Does the card have to be present in order for me to get RoadMiles?
Yes! Keep your card with you at all times in order to take full advantage of all membership benefits. In order to receive RoadMiles, members must present their RoadKing Club card when purchasing fuel, food in a sit-down or fast food restaurant, or service and products purchased in our truck service shops. RoadMiles will not be awarded if the card is not available or if it is presented after the transaction is complete. We will not be able to add points any time after the transaction is completed, so make sure to have your card with you and present it at the start of the transaction.

How do I redeem RoadMiles?
TA RoadMiles can be redeemed at the TA RoadMile Marker kiosk. There is a kiosk at all TA locations. TA RoadMiles are redeemed by scanning your card and choosing the appropriate redemption award. After selecting the award, you will receive an Instant Redemption Certificate. In order to help protect members' accounts, if you are redeeming $25 or more at one time, then you will need to provide a driver's license along with the RoadKing card and , and the names on both must match.

Can I redeem my RoadMiles for anything that TA sells?
RoadMiles cannot be redeemed for diesel fuel, gasoline, alcohol, lottery tickets, casino credits, telephone calling cards, scale fees, vending or video game play, or gratuities, check cashing or cash advance fees, or parking fees. Members are responsible for all taxes on qualifying purchases.

Can I redeem my RoadMile on-line?
Yes. We have an on-line prize catalog that contains may items such as sporting goods, tools, outdoor items, apparel, jewelry, and more. To access the on-line catalog, go to www.tatravelcenters.com and then go to the RoadKing section. Once there, enter your card number and your pin number and you will have access to the on-line redemption catalog. You can use RoadMiles in conjunction with your credit card to purchase items and all items include shipping and handling.

What is my pin number and what is it used for?
Every member has a pin number. The pin number is used to access the RoadKing section of the TA website where you can look at recent activity, check your account balance, access the on-line prize redemption catalog and more. If you do not know your pin number, you can call customer service at 1-866-RKC-CLUB and upon verifying some information, they can provide your pin number.

Can I get my account number over the phone?
For security reasons, we do not provide account numbers over the phone.

Do my RoadMiles expire?
Yes. TA RoadMiles expire 2 years after the month of point issuance. TA RoadMiles also expire after six (6) months if no activity is recorded on the card. Activity is defined as a certificate being printed or points being added for a qualifying purchase (See “How do I earn RoadMiles (points) in the program?” above). TA will not restore point balances after six months of non activity.

What is Chrome Club and Chrome Club Elite and how do I qualify?
Chrome Club and Chrome Club Elite are additional membership levels for members who are the most loyal to TA. In addition to receiving a specially designed card, and one RoadMile for each gallon of diesel fuel, Chrome Club and Elite members are entitled to additional benefits and rewards. Currently, Chrome Club members receive 3 RoadMiles per dollar spent in the sit-down and fast food restaurants, 10-day shower expirations, additional sweepstakes entries for RoadKing sweepstakes events and access to discount coupons from the RoadMile Marker Kiosk. Elite members receive 5 RoadMiles per dollar spent in the sit-down and fast food restaurants, double RoadMile in the truck service shop, 14-day shower expirations, additional sweepstakes entries for RoadKing sweepstakes events and access to discount coupons from the RoadMile Marker Kiosk. In order to qualify for Chrome Club, members must earn at least 12,500 RoadMiles for purchases during a calendar year; and Elite members must earn at least 25,000 RoadMile for purchases during a calendar year. As soon as the corresponding level is achieved, members will be notified via the RoadMile Marker kiosk and will need to verify their account information to activate the membership. How do I use my card to obtain my showers?
Members earn a shower credit for a 50-gallon minimum diesel purchase. To redeem your credit, go to the RoadMile Marker kiosk and follow the screen prompts. You will be issued a "Shower Receipt" which will allow you to enter a shower room using either the entry code printed on the receipt or your RoadKing Club card.

How long are shower credits valid?
For Standard Members, a shower credit expires (7) days after it is earned (the day of the diesel fuel transaction). Chrome Club Members get 10 days and Chrome Club Elite Members get 14 days. There is no limit to the number of shower credits that accumulate on the card.

What is the shower policy for team drivers?
Team drivers will be allowed one (1) shower each upon redemption of a Coupon or use of a Shower Credit provided that both showers are taken at the same location on the same day. Both drivers must be present when requesting two showers from one Shower Coupon. At those TA locations using the TA Shower System, team drivers should follow the menu prompts for team drivers to obtain a shower receipt from the Kiosk and proceed to the shower desk. The Customer Service Representative will reserve a shower for the second driver.

What if my card is lost or stolen?
If your card is lost or stolen, call customer service immediately at 1-866-RKC-CLUB. It is possible to transfer TA RoadMiles to a new card. Please phone TA toll free at 1-866-752-2582. A Customer Service Representative may transfer all of the points and information from the old card to a new account less the replacement fee. Please note that TA is not responsible for RoadMile points that are lost or stolen under any circumstances. Therefore, please protect your account just as you would other private information such as bank cards or credit cards.

Can purchases made using the Instant Redemption Certificates be exchanged for a cash refund?
No cash refunds will be issued for any merchandise purchased using RoadKing Club miles. Merchandise can be exchanged for like items if defective.

Is change issued on purchases where the Instant Redemption Certificate exceeds the amount of the purchase?
Change is NOT issued on these purchases, and you are responsible for all applicable taxes.
